Partner Communication

Cadence OneFive works with partners across the building decarbonization ecosystem—funders, contractors, property owners, and program administrators. We believe in meeting partners where they are, using the communication tools that work best for each relationship.

We connect with partners on the platform of their choice:

Slack — Real-time collaboration with shared channels between our workspace and yours. Ideal for active project teams and ongoing partnerships.

Microsoft Teams — For partners who prefer Teams, we can bridge our communications to your workspace.

Mailing Lists — For broader partner networks or periodic updates, we support mailing list integrations.

Email — Direct email communication for partners who prefer traditional correspondence.

To set up a communication channel with Cadence OneFive, contact your Cadence point of contact or reach out to hello@c15.io.

We’ll work with you to establish the right channel for your team’s needs and integrate it with our internal systems so messages flow seamlessly between organizations.

When your Cadence contact sends you an install link:

  1. Click the install link — Opens Slack’s authorization page
  2. Review permissions — The bridge needs to read messages in one channel and post on your behalf
  3. Click “Allow” — Authorizes the Cadence Bridge app in your workspace
  4. Select a channel — Pick the public channel you want to connect (the bot joins automatically)
  5. Done! — Messages in that channel now sync with our Discord

The whole process takes about 30 seconds. Once connected, your team can chat normally in Slack while we respond from Discord.

When your Cadence contact sends you a setup code:

  1. Add the bot — Install “C1.5 Bridge” from the Teams app store to your channel
  2. Activate the bridge — In your channel, type: @C1.5 Bridge setup XXXXXX (using your 6-character code)
  3. Done! — The bot confirms the connection and messages start syncing

This policy covers our chat bridge service that connects your Slack or Microsoft Teams channel to our Discord server.

Think of it like email—messages you send to us are stored on our side, and messages we send to you are stored on yours. The difference is that everyone stays in their own workspace instead of juggling inboxes.

When you use the bridge, we handle:

  • Your messages — The text you send in the connected channel
  • Who sent it — Your display name and profile picture
  • Shared files — Links to attachments (the files stay on Slack/Teams)
  • We forward messages instantly to our Discord server
  • Messages show your name with “(via Slack)” or “(via Teams)”
  • Once delivered, messages are stored in Discord just like any chat—that’s the point!
  • We don’t read messages in other channels—only the one connected to the bridge
  • We don’t access your DMs, private channels, or anything else in your workspace
  • We don’t use your messages for AI training, analytics, or anything beyond delivery
  • We don’t sell or share your data
  • Connection info — Channel IDs and workspace IDs, stored encrypted so the bridge works
  • Slack login tokens — Stored securely, used only to post messages for you
  • Your messages — Stored in our Discord server, where our team can read and respond to them

Ask your Cadence contact to disconnect anytime. We’ll delete your connection data.

By connecting your channel, you agree to these terms.

The bridge is for business communication with Cadence. Please:

  • Keep it professional and related to our partnership
  • Don’t send anything illegal, harmful, or abusive
  • Don’t try to break or misuse the service
  • Don’t send spam or malware
  • You’re responsible for what your team sends
  • Make sure your team knows messages go to our Discord
  • Follow your own organization’s rules about external communication

We will:

  • Keep the bridge running
  • Protect your connection data
  • Let you know about significant changes
  • Disconnect you when you ask

The bridge might have downtime or delays. We do our best, but we can’t promise perfect reliability or be responsible for missed messages.

Either of us can disconnect anytime. We’ll disconnect bridges that break these rules.

We might update these terms. Keep using the bridge = you accept the updates.
